Terms of use

This draft follows how the MarketVV website works. It must be reviewed by a lawyer and completed where marked before MarketVV opens.

1. Who we are

MarketVV is operated by [operator: legal name, registered address, registration number]. "We" means the operator; "you" means the person using MarketVV and the company they represent.

2. Accounts

Accounts are for businesses. You must give true information, keep your password private, and tell us at once if your account may be misused. One person may represent one company on MarketVV. We may suspend accounts that break these terms; you will be told why.

3. Verification

Suppliers must have their company verified before publishing products or answering requests. The Verified badge means we checked registration documents. It is not a guarantee of product quality, quantity, delivery or solvency.

4. Listings, requests and quotations

Suppliers are responsible for their listings being accurate and lawful, including origin, grade, specifications, certifications and prices. A request for quotation is an invitation to offer. A quotation is the supplier's offer under the conditions it states, until its validity date. Accepting a quotation on MarketVV records your intention to go ahead; it is not a binding sales contract. Contracts, payment terms, inspection, shipping and documents are agreed directly between buyer and supplier.

5. What MarketVV does not do

We are not a party to sales between users. We do not hold buyers' money, provide escrow, inspect goods or arrange shipping. Check your trading partner and use inspection and secure payment methods appropriate to the deal.

6. Acceptable use

Do not publish false, misleading or illegal content; products whose trade is prohibited; other people's personal data; spam or unsolicited advertising; or content that infringes rights. Do not try to access other accounts, scrape the site, or bypass limits or security. Use Report to tell us about abuse; moderators may remove content and will record a reason.

7. Memberships and payments (suppliers)

Paid memberships (Silver, Premium/Gold) last one year from payment and are paid in advance through our payment provider. Prices and what each plan includes are on the Membership page. Benefits start when the payment is confirmed. You can renew in the last 30 days before the end date; the new year starts when the current one ends. You can upgrade during a membership with credit for the unused time; moving to a lower plan is not possible during a membership, but you can choose any plan when it ends. Memberships do not renew automatically. If you cancel, benefits continue until the end date. After the end date there is a 7-day grace period, then the account returns to Free and listings above the Free limit are unpublished (not deleted). 8. Content you provide

You keep ownership of your content. You allow us to host, display, translate (only when you provide the translation) and promote it on MarketVV for as long as it is published.

11. Changes and ending

We will give notice of significant changes. You can close your account at any time from Account → Your data.
